Welcome to the home of Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association!

The Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association was established in 1965 and has been affiliated with Babe Ruth Baseball and Babe Ruth Softball Organizations from the beginning. The association is a charitable, volunteer organization designed to provide a positive environment for the development of sportsmanship, athletic skills and character. We operate programs for youth between the ages of 4 and 15 in baseball, softball, buddy ball and basketball. These programs are managed in accordance with guidelines set forth by national and international youth sports organizations. This organization serves the youth of Glen Allen and West Richmond, Virginia.

We understand that if you use Internet Explorer 7 and try to click on a link on the left side of the page, then the webpage will shut down. Please download Internet Explorer 8 and see if that will correct this problem.

If you use Mozilla Firefox, you can access all links and no shut down takes place.

WIFI Available

Patrons visiting Jack Bourne Park now have access to free WIFI. There is no password needed. The WIFI name is GAYAA. We hope you enjoy this new feature to the association.

Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth Bat Rules 2012

Babe Ruth headquarters has announced the bat rules for both Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth baseball divisions. To view these rules, please go to the link on the left hand side of page and click on Baseball Bat Rules 2012.

UPDATE - March 16, 2012

Babe Ruth League, Inc. has been informed that Nike Bat Model #Aero CX2-BTO636 (light grey), CX2-BTO573 (dark grey) and CX2-BTO598 (blue) have failed recent performance standard compliance testing. Effective immediately and until further notice, Nike Bat Model #Aero CX2-BTO636 (light grey), CX2-BTO573 (dark grey) and CX2-BTO598 (blue), including all graphic variations, is not eligible, or approved, for use in any Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken program or activity.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has advised Babe Ruth League, Inc. that the BBCOR decertification process has been implemented for the Marucci CAT5 33-inch model. Effective immediately and until further notice, this bat (Marucci CAT5 33” length) is not eligible, or approved, for use in any Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken program or activity.

Joel Booth Scholarship

Each year the Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association awards a $500 Joel Booth Scholarship to one student each from Jr Tucker, Hermitage and Deep Run who has participated in our youth organization for at least three (3) years. We need to have the attached application and an essay submitted to Lisa Harris by Friday, May 18, 2012.
